Meckering
The Meckering area has continued to be active since the damaging Mag (ML 6.7) event on October 1958. A magnitude 5.5 event occurred there in 1990. Since Jan 2000, there have been 3 events of ML 3.0 and above – ie, an ML 4.0 event in March 2003, and ML 3.0 events in 2005, 2009 and 2017. The map above shows events of ML 2.5 and above since Jan 2000.
The southeast corner of the map shows a couple of earthquakes from a relatively active area near Mawson, about 20 km west of Quairading.
